White Pass and Yukon Route

Your 28-mile rail excursion will descend over the White Pass Summit and into Skagway, Alaska. We got picked up by bus in the RV park in the morning and drove to Carcross, where we had time to look around for a few minutes.  We then drove to Fraser to catch the train which would take us to Skagway.

Skagway is only 15 miles by water from Haines, it is 359 miles by road!  We spent a few hours walking around in Skagway, a typical tourist town, with lots of souvenir shops and restaurants.   We then boarded the bus that would take us back to Whitehorse.  We were in Yukon Territory, B.C. and Alaska today.
