We drove south to Homer on the Kalifornsky Beach Road, a 45 mph road which follows the shores of Cook Inlet.
We saw these moose along the way.
The view from on top of Homer Hill. A spectacular view of Kachemak Bay, Homer Spit, glaciers, and mountains.
Jutting 4.3 miles from the Homer shore is the Homer Spit, a long, narrow bar of gravel. The highway goes along the backbone of the Spit, right to the end.
