June 15 THAT'S SOME BAD ROAD!!

 We stopped at Destruction Bay for fuel (1.589/l), and were told that the highway ahead was bad.  And it was!  Milepost said: CAUTION:  Slow for frost-heaved road and gravel breaks northbound to Alaska border.  Rough road is often signed or marked by orange flags, but not always.

 That, plus construction and rain for 170 km.  By the time we got to Beaver Creek, it was time to stop for lunch, and after that the road got better.  

We crossed into Alaska at Port Alcan, exactly one week after we left home.  Once in Alaska, we also had a time zone change, Alaska time is one hour earlier than Pacific Time.  

The Alaska Range in the background.  We drove to Delta Junction and spent the night there.
The Alaska Highway officially ends at Delta Junction.
