A little side trip...

From Saskatoon to Edmonton, then on to Valleyview, Alberta for night.  Next day we drove to Peace River.  There's lots of farming done up there, and it's very pretty country. 

From Peace River we drove west to Fort St. John.  By going this way, we actually missed Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway, so I'll add a picture of it that we took when we went to Fort St. John in 2008! 

 We met Art and Kuan Sing for supper, then later went for a walk with them, and then to their house for dessert.  We had a great visit with them.
