Our Last Day
Even though we had the dedication service here the night before, there was still lots of work to do. George worked at finishing the cabinets and countertop. 3 of us ladies attempted to do inventory in the tool trailer, but after 1/2 an hour of that, decided we really couldn't identify most of the tools anyways, so we left it for George and Frank.
In the evening we had another dedication service at Joe and Darkes' place. Quite alot of people, which was nice to see for the family's sake. Quite a humbling thing, to hear various people say how the "Mennonites" have made such an impact on their community. We have been blessed in a big way, to be able to help these people in rebuilding their homes, and in some ways, their lives as well.
After the formal part of the service, the family provided refreshments for all of us.
Once we got back to camp, we all met for a final time up here in our meeting room, had ice-cream and coffee, and visited. It's been a really good experience, and we're thankful that we've had the opportunity to be a part of it.
