Yesterday we drove down to South Padre Island. The day was very foggy and only 17C, even though the forecast had "predicted" 30C. We drove to the end of the road, then parked the truck and walked out to the beach. It was so misty, our glasses fogged up, our hair got wet and there was moisture collecting on our jackets. Even so, it was great walking along the beach and collecting seashells.... after all, you can't ever have too many shells, can you?

We found quite a few jellyfish washed up on the shore. They are very weird looking animals!

After spending some time on the beach, we went out for lunch to a Mexican restaurant. There are lots of Mexican restaurants here, as well as all the usual places like Pizza Hut, McDonald's and Burger King. There seems to be no overlap of the Cajun and Mexican, which is a disappointment to me, as I really love the Cajun food!

I like the self-portrait on the beach, seems to me that we have a similar one on the same beach with the same kind of weather!!
