We've been working at 2 different places this week. Yesterday George and 3 guys fixed a laminate floor that had a huge hill in the middle of it. They ended up tearing out all the flooring, then cutting a 2'x8' hole in the floor, through layers of carpet and vinyl and whatever else was down there. They shaved off the lump, then repacked the hole, and re-did the laminate. There was also a room enlarged in the house, and some other odd jobs done. Today they blew insulation up into the attic, where previously there was none at all.

The ladies went to another house, where we spent a couple of hours bagging up clothes, bedding, and misc. items, that were piled all over the house. It was terribly dirty in there, so today we cleaned...washed ceilings, walls, scraped layers of black dirt off of the ceiling fan....and continued to throw more stuff out. The carpet in the house is extremely dirty, and the vinyl on the remaining floors is broken and curled up. This poor man is 83 years old and not well, and his wife is in a nursing home. He lives in the living room, sleeps on the couch...in all, a very sad situation.

This project has not been totally finalized yet, so cleaning is all that we could do so far. If the final approval comes through, the house will get new windows, some new ceilings, floors, general repair, and lots of paint.
