We attended church in Hackberry this morning. At 9:00 we went to the Catholic Church. We use their facility quite a lot during the week, and know some of the people there, so decided we would go to their service. Then we went to the Baptist Church for 10:00, which is in town as well. It is a small congregation, and as usual, the people were very open and friendly. After lunch in Sulphur, we took the long way home, along the Creole Trail, which led us south to the Gulf of Mexico, and past a lot of the destruction caused by Hurricane Rita. We stopped in one spot to take pictures of some turtles, sunning themselves on the rocks, but I guess they heard us coming and slid into the water before we took any.
