We had a 4 hour stop in Ketchikan, so we went on shore and took a taxi into the main tourist area.
There were 3 cruise ships docked and lots of tourists on the streets. The shops and restaurants are all owned by the cruise lines, and you see the same trinkets in every shop. It didn't take long for us to be tired of that, so we started walking back to the ferry dock.
"The Rock Statues" honors the lives of citizens who formed the population of the town in the early years.
The town is build on many levels.
After we got back on the ferry, we watched airplanes landing and taking off from the water as well as from the airport. We left Ketchikan at 6:45 p.m. for Prince Rupert. We got a wake-up call at 1:30, and arrived in Prince Rupert at 2:00 a.m.
