We hear a lot of comments in town, "Oh, you're with the Mennonites". We wear our name tags all the time, so we're easy to pick out. People will stop us on the street and relate their experiences of what "the Mennonites" have meant to them, how they or someone else they know have been helped. They appreciate this so much. It's really humbling to see how they love the MDS people that have come to help them.
The family we're building for, lost their home in the hurricane, and lived in this shop for awhile until they moved in with their daughter. They are really looking forward to having a new home!

I was going to say something along the same lines! It's amazing that you're the ones there to help and pour out God's love but you get to feel blessed and appreciated in abundance back!
