Helicopter ride

These photos are of the brand new Kodiak aircraft that will eventually be headed to serve missionaries and tribal villages in Papua New Guinea... NTM Aviation has been truly blessed to receive TWO of these marvelous planes within the past six months!

They are able to land on short airstrips just like the Cessna 206 does, and carry 10 passengers plus cargo. 

This morning we had the opportunity to go for a helicopter ride with Brian, the newly certified pilot.  The helicopter is an R44 Raven.

After George and I had our ride, Chris wanted a ride, so I went along for a 2nd time.  We flew south this time, over the desert.  Brian landed the helicopter in this low spot, to demonstrate how versatile it is.  He came in really slow, so he could take time to find the best spot to land.  He needs only a 12X12' area to land.  

 We then flew to the Douglas airport, where he landed on a paved strip.
