We are currently staying at an RV park in Onalaska, Tx, right on Lake Livingston. Have spent our time exploring the area, and especially Livingston, the city just east of here. There are lots of antique/junk stores. We went to an outlet mall, shopped the Tractor Supply Store, had coffee at McDonalds, checked out Lake Livingston State Park, and of course, the Dollar General. The weather has been mostly sunny and 14 degrees C. Last night it froze and we had a very stiff water hose in the morning. More frost forecasted for the next 2 nights.
Will leave here on Saturday morning and arrive in Newton sometime in the afternoon, to set up and settle in.
