Summer 2015

We left on June 21st for BC.  

Arrived in Langley 2 days later, and checked into Brae Island Fort Camping and had James, Vanessa and the girls over for supper.  The tent was a birthday gift for Cheyenne and Vienna. 

We spent the first full day helping James and Vanessa pack up and clean their townhouse.  On June 26 they moved into their new home.  Another day of cleaning, and unpacking.  It was our 39th anniversary, and by supper time, we were ok with just doing a McAnniversary pickup, and back to the house to eat.

Their new house is a lovely, cozy place, and we wish them many happy years there!

We left there on June 29 and drove to Osoyoos for the night.  The next day we drove to Nelson and took the Belfour ferry across Kootenay Lake.  

We spent a night in Redvers, SK, and took in a ball game there.  

We arrived in Boissevain on July 3rd, in time for the annual Voth reunion.  Had a great weekend visiting there!

On July 5th, we drove to Erin and Phill's and spent the night there.  It was my 60th birthday, and Erin had baked me a birthday cake.  

We had a week of Vacation Bible School at church the week of July 13 to 17.  

Bailey, Toby, Ben, and Reid  came over for a few days of holidays, and one morning we went to the GoKarts in Headingley.  There were also bumper boats there, and Grandpa definitely got the worst soaking of everyone.  

In August, George and I went to Hecla for a few days.  It was a really nice, relaxing time. 

We had lots of rain this summer, and the mosquitoes were terrible.  No, I'm not on my way to get honey from the hive, I'm going out to pick cucumbers.  

Harvest has been very difficult this year, also because of all the rain we had.

The garden did really well this summer.  I didn't do much canning or freezing, but we did enjoy lots of fresh vegetables.
