Homeward Bound!

Leaving Zion National Park, we drove through lots of snow.  When we got back to the main highway going north, we were unable to get gas at a few stations because their electricity was out.  As we drove further on, we finally came to a station that was open.  Their lot had very deep snow on it, but there was a track through, so we managed to get to the pumps.  They had just got their power back, so we were able to get gas and coffee.

This highway between Grand Junction and  Denver, CO was one of the last highways to be twinned, as it was quite a challenge, with mountains on one side, and a river on the other.

Loveland Pass at 11990 feet.

Wall Drug Store in Wall, South Dakota.
We realized quite quickly that this is a glorified, souvenir mall.

We arrived home on March 5.
