Today we went to Mexico. We walked across the Rio Grande River at Progreso, payed our $0.25 to get in, and started shopping....well, looking. There were 100's of other tourists walking the narrow sidewalk, with vendors on either side. "Cheap, almost free!" was a common phrase we heard. There's lots of neat stuff for sale, but really nothing I needed.

I really like these pots, but wasn't ready to carry one around all morning.

We had lunch in a Mexican restaurant, and really enjoyed the food there. After 3 hours of walking the streets, we decided we had seen enough. So we payed our $0.30 to leave Mexico, and came back to our shady campsite. It's about 26C and sunny today, just a beautiful day.
I've been really watching the ground in this campground, because word has it, that a rattlesnake was seen here a few days ago, and George saw a water moccasin in the ditch. No alligator sightings so far.
