George and I went on a short trip this week. We stayed at Pinewood Lodge at Dorothy Lake.
There is a dock close to the lodge, and George did a bit of fishing.
We went to see Rainbow Falls. One thing that's so great about the Whiteshell is all the rock.
The water was totally calm, and we could see the reflections of the trees in the water.
We walked quite a ways on these rocks, to the highest point in the area.
This is our favorite rock. We've driven up onto it many times before.
We knew there was a bridge in the area, and after searching for awhile, found the hike up to the bridge, which is part of the Trans Canada Trail. It is a 60m long cable stay bridge and is the starting point to a spur trail that leads to a lookout of Sturgeon Falls.
Sturgeon Falls is really just a series of rapids, but it is beautiful.
More huge rocks.
